You need to ensure the diffs are shimmed tight...

You need to ensure the diffs are shimmed tight when you build them, no backlash in the bevel gear at all. If shimmed correctly, the diff will last for ages without any problems.

Ed, I would go for the Tony's Screws set. A Main Hobbies sell them cheap (and they're located in your state, Chico I think), they are a top shelf screw set, you won't be dissapointed.

I can get Losi or Team Associated springs a whole lot easier and cheaper than Kyosho springs, but will they fit my Lazer? Running triple cap shocks front, kit shocks rear.

Definitely the slipper...I noticed that the RTR version has two red slipper pads, whereas I can only find the white and red pad versions as available parts, I'm guessing the rtr has lesser quality...

I have a ZX5 rtr version, but I've upgraded all of the drivetrain parts over the last few weeks - ceramic diff balls, steel outdrives etc. Now very bored with the pace of the stock G20 motor....
