I have a 17mm hex conversion on mine running 4" 1/8 scale belted slicks (speed car). The extra leverage and size of the wheels accentuates the non-precision fit. So the genuine Tamiya uprights use...

Tamiya 501x alloy rear uprights question

I'm looking for photos of an assembled Tamiya 501x alloy rear upright with no success. I'm wondering if the Tamiya version of this uses plastic bushings where it connects to the suspension arm like...

The Havok seems good, it has a sintered rotor which I think is the important part (the bonded rotor motors were lame). I have a 'Pro' 8.5 which is a Velociti style can motor, seems quite powerful at...

A little for those that are interested in speed. A Novak 3.5r in a Durga with a 15T pinion will give you a GPS-verified max speed of 55mph. You'll need a battery that can live with ~110 amp spikes...

I like the concept, nice off-road basher in a scale format with a sealed drivetrain. But I kind of wish they made it with the TB03 or DB01 chassis, better plastics and all.

On my DB01 w/5.5r & lipo, the motor seems very happy @ 10.36. Going to 9.82 the temperatures become a bit too hot (over 175F). Ambients below 80F with these gearings, might have to go lower if...

Thoughts on overdriving DB-01 front diff?/501x overdrive experiences?

I'm making my Durga into a speed run car, and doing a good bit of chassis tuning so that it will run straight on less than ideal surfaces (dust patches, side grade, bumps, etc.). So far I have it...

Then the...
