York this week?

Does anyone know if the racing is on at York this week? Came down on sat night and no-one was really sure due to nationals?

Must admit I was looking forward to it! Resprayed an old shell today and made the chassis etc. I take it you chaps race at york? I could do with a bit of help and advice when I do get up there, last time I raced was wait for it.........almost 20 years ago!

mattym0310 14-04-2008 08:15 PM

yeah i sure do. I am a regular and have been for around 5years :) I would be more than happy to help

wildoliver 14-04-2008 08:35 PM

Thanks that would be very much appreciated, it's hard to go in to something that you may as well know nothing about it has been so long, and knowing no-one too!

How long do the heats usually last?

ben 14-04-2008 08:44 PM

5 minutes for each qualifier and final. It will probably be run as 3 qualifiers and 2 legged finals.

So basically my batteries need to last for 10 mins? Or will I have time to change battery between qualifying and racing? Or have I got confused!

Col 15-04-2008 08:04 PM

Race for 5 mins, then there is approx 30mins until you race again. You will need at least 2 sets of batteries.
(told you we'd get 5 races in, didn't I?)
