I'll see if he knows the colour rating of the sprigs as Lee uses Yellow front and Red rear on 511 unless anyone wants to update the list to show these.....

X gear spings

I ran my 502x on wet grass/astro at the weekend with red front and white rear. Standard pistons with 35cwt oil front, 30cwt rear. It was absolutely awesome. Now invested in more springs.

Very intresting, thanks a lot for sharing!
What's the advantage of these springs VS the Tamiya one?
I heard about them more than one time but don't know much about them.

Slightly bigger diameter spring which does not rub on the shock body.
Also has a better coil for more consistent action.

I like them ;)

i use the larger sized 201 spring retainer on the bottom

Also, the Losi 22 spring retainers are a perfect fit.

This is great info !

Do we know if anyone will be stocking them in the UK ?

I see JESpares Stock the X-Gear Springs for the Kyosho Big Bore Shocks !

tyreman 25-04-2012 06:01 PM

The price isn't too bad either at £7.65 a pair.

Those are the springs we are talking about. It's Kyosho that make the X Gear springs.

Any Kyosho dealer, try JE Spares & Inside Line (although I don't think either list on their sites but Kyosho UK do a fantastic job of dealing with spot orders)
