New Track in East Anglia

10 Attachment(s)
I would like to introduce Boughton Raceway, a new 1/10th track in Norfolk. After recently hosting Round 2 of the East of England regional series, the feed back from drivers has been unbeliveable, with many claiming it is the best all weather astroturf track they have raced on. Due to the outstanding feed back we have received, it has been deceided that we will run a 4 round summer series, on the following dates: Round 1-24th June, Round 2-22nd July, Round 3-19th August, Round 4-23rd September.
The venue is approx 8 miles south of Kings Lynn, near a town called Downham Market.
We have a facebook page with more pictures and details, just search for Boughton Raceway.
For more details and info, please feel free to contact me.
Heres a few pictures of the track, Unfurtunately they were taken in the poor weather conditions we have recently had, but check out our facebook page for some great action pics.
Thanks,
Barry.

great track like that & you're only gonna use it for 4 meets ?

Been here and it does drive as good as it looks, and in the wet there was no standing water anywhere on the track all day and it rained ALL day. In the dry it is REALLY good with a good mix of sections, it's big at around 30 secs per lap but you are not going slowly round it though, if you know what i mean.

At the moment we have two rounds of the east of England regional series booked, the four round summer series, and we are currently planning a big two day meeting, like a Best of British GP, or something similar. Watch this space for more details.

There has been a small group of us putting alot of hours in to the track over the months, and we have found out just how unfit we are!!! The more people that use the track and give us feedback either positive or otherwise the more we can continue to develop the track and facilities, and the more meetings we can hold. i have raced at many tracks over the years and i can honestly say the track is great to race on and like has already been said even with the rain the track was mostly dry, so less cleaning cars equals more time to socialise, no bad thing.

good stuff, summer series, and GP sound great, I'm in...ermm unless I'm racing at the No1 club in east anglia.....NBC, but I could be bias:lol:
I also heard that the carpet filling in the infield came from a very posh place indeed

Top class track. Immaculately presented and drives really well. Race control tower is supurb as well. I will have to make sure that i get to the hot dog tent quicker at the next regional as i missed out first time round, they were that good...appartently:D

Really is a great track, by far the best in the east of England (esp Norfolk) by a loooong way, easily a match for Stotfold:thumbsup:

very nice track. Needs a couple more jumps for my liking, but have to agree, looks like one of the best presented tracks ive seen. And very good build quality on the corner table top

Juttie 24-04-2012 06:10 AM

Guess it dont help that i had 3 bangers lol.
We are working on a few more features but dont want to go mad as track has a gd flow which rewards gd racing.

Now I'd disagree with that, too many jumps and it turns into a stunt fest, racing then takes a back seat all you do is follow someone round till one of you makes a mistake.

The Boughton layout lends it's self to some really good racing, at least that's what we had at the EoE regional a few weeks back:thumbsup:
