2WD or 4WD?

i am after a buggy, what should i get 2WD or 4WD?

it is to race on polished wood floor, and to bash about with.

it will have a brushless (in time)

post any links or info here.

4wd is generally easier all round, But 2wd is where you will learn more driving wise i would say with it only being rear wheel drive..

if you want somthing quick and looks awsome maybe the 4WD, Predator XRS from Xtreme ?

doesnt cost a bomb and if youre on polish floor sit the car nice a low and it will be ace :)

what are the differences between the XRS and the X10?

ashleyb4 13-04-2008 03:37 PM

If you want somehting that looks awful and is slow and has as much ride height as a touring car and breaks when you sneeze yes i agree with garry get a xrs.

IMO you would be much much much betteroff with 2wd in every way. Everyone knows the best looking 2wd out there is the xxx-cr and its also the best performing easy to drive and strong.

so that means, dont get the XRS and get the losi XXX-CR

how is the XXXCR better than the B4?

Have you ever owned a Pred Ash?

Or even seen one?

rcluke 13-04-2008 04:28 PM

is the pred XRS the same sort of spec as the ZX5 RTR ?

markwilliamson2001 13-04-2008 04:29 PM

From my experience of driving with a 2wd on polished floor, it is not fun in any way...

Best get a cheap'ish 4wd buggy if your going to be on polished floor regularly. The B44, Hotbodies D4, or the Lazer ZX-5 SP would be the best options for you I think.

rcluke 13-04-2008 04:31 PM

if the B44 and D4 are cheap, what are expensive 4WD buggy's?

Atomic Carbon S4 & S44
Schumacher Cat SX
BJ4 WE
Predator X11

I could go on...

Ashley.. i see for once you didnt recomend a xx4. But offer maybe the worst most expensive 2wd on the market.

Please dont comment on the XRS like you have owned one. I really wouldnt say it was slow LOL, Luke there is a short video of an XRS here : http://video.aol.com/video-detail/tt...car/2554272685

The XRS has a few different features towards the X10. The rockers are make from plastic also the arms and chasis are made from plastic i beleive. all of the X10 parts will fit on this and some of the X11 upgrades too if you wanted to take it to the next level.

ok lol,

would the b44 / zx5 be good for the occasional bash?

rcluke 13-04-2008 05:07 PM

i think it might be a b4 that i get, because i dont think i would be able to bash a c/f 4wd buggy. a b4 is just plastic or carbon composite

Col 13-04-2008 05:27 PM

For cheap bashing, get a durga or zx5 (not the sp)

For cheap racing get a durga or zx5.

2WD will be a nightmare for the inexperienced driver on polished floor - avoid like the plague...

There are so many good cars out there, it does not really matter what you get, but a good bash car is usually not a good race car, and vice versa

rcluke 13-04-2008 06:55 PM

what about a XX4 for bashing and racing?

mattym0310 13-04-2008 06:56 PM

i wudn't recommend them, I have seen them break all too many times and belt's snapping is a frequent issue aswell.
