Sunday 29 April

Back on the grass for this one.

Personal opinion with the changeable weather at the moment would be to try and start a little earlier so we can avoid some of the heavy showers. Just depends on everyone else's view I guess.

See you all there.

racingdwarf 23-04-2012 06:10 PM

I'll be there:thumbsup:, come on folks lets try to get everyone to this one as numbers have been very very good of late.

Just have to see how the weather goes, so far saturday is possible showers not sure on sunday yet, fingers crossed

losi8rob 24-04-2012 07:38 PM

I intend to be there sunday  but no elec my B4 is on ebay & my monkey is in the box in kit form still , so just rallycross for me

Grass on Sunday

At least we are on a decent grass track this sunday. I thought we had some bumps at NBC!!! Last weeks Coastal track makes ours look like Mr flaty Mc flat flat and his amazingly flat grass track....:D

Rob wheres the Lazer?

I don't think I'll ever comment about the bumps at NBC after racing at COLCHESTER :p

Mixture of rain, cloud and maybe a sunny spell later on for Sunday.
But lots of rain before hand, I'll have to find a duck for the NBC pond!

racingdwarf 26-04-2012 09:29 PM

i will try to nip down saturday to inspect the track incase people are concerned, i think it will be ok, but we may need to divert the bomb hole, as it may only be fit for plastic ducks:D. i give up with the weather I think we may get a short sharp shower now and again, and I will get soaked...again, for about the 10th time this week:cry:

MattPound46 27-04-2012 05:51 PM

I am hoping to bring mine down and see how you guys do things. Pos sign up for club membership too.

jonesi 27-04-2012 05:59 PM

We'll be there rain or shine, I've spent all week getting soaked so one more day won't matter!!!

kaylon 27-04-2012 08:00 PM

All forecasts that I check say heavy rain :( ...

I'm afraid I can't justify a 140 mile round trip that LOL...

On the plus side I will hopefully have a new mystery car to try for the next round :)....

Thats ok mate, I would make the same call with those miles involved:(

Sadly the forcast for sunday does look compleat pants:o.

Seaweed Forecast

:(

Sunday:

Wet and windy, with heavy, persistent downpours at times, leading to localised flooding. Feeling cold in strong northeasterly winds, perhaps gales along the coast. Becoming drier by evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Dandare 28-04-2012 11:26 AM

I've decided to skip tomorrow (unless it stops raining now, until late sunday, lol), i'd be racing for the sake of it rather than to enjoy it. Don't have time to strip/clean/re-build tbh.

I'm away in Wales between 11th-18th May too so guess my next opportunity to hit the track will be Coastal R4 !

Dufty07 28-04-2012 05:49 PM

weather looking a little better, now only one rain drop on forcast map:thumbsup: sun coming out around tea time

jcb 28-04-2012 08:06 PM

I'll pop along as I'm only just down the road at the moment. Just have to see in the morning I guess.

Dufty07 28-04-2012 08:56 PM

ray of hope?

Sunshine now at 16:00 on forcast :o
Going to look out my bedroom window 2moro @ 08:30 n c whats what.:D
If persisting it down dave, will you cancel?

racingdwarf 28-04-2012 09:02 PM

Hmmm, well we all know the track can take one hell of a lot of water,I didn't get a chance to get down there today, but I should say at this time it's errrm wet:o

If it's raining tmro with the forcasted 45mph gusts i will call it off 1st thing. The mett office rain radar is heavy rain tmro morning so at this time it's not looking good. Eather way I will head over there about half ten just incase anyone not on oople turns up

I will post about 8 tmro morning if we cancel............ as per normal, monday looks far better:mad:

racingdwarf 29-04-2012 07:50 AM

well its not raining now....yet:lol:,I'm going to head down there for around 10/10.30 ish and see whos there,I think thats the best I can do..I have no doubt the grass track will be usable, but it's weather it starts to rain again and with the strong gusts of wind with rain it could just be nasty:bored:

One thing I will be sure of is the dirt track will be closed.

Nathan2000 29-04-2012 08:00 AM

hopefully its just windy and the rain stops

SimonW 29-04-2012 08:08 AM

I won't be going today, don't fancy freezing on top of that rostrum in galeforce winds and sideways rain, lol
