Good Luck James

And to everyone else running the London Marathon.

James has made many attempts to get onto the London Marathon entry list, so 2012 is a big year for him as today he finally gets to participate in this world class event.

He is raising money for the Everyman campaign through justgiving: http://www.justgiving.com/james-helliwell

This charity funds immensely important research into prostate and testicular cancers. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men in the UK (about one quarter of all cancer diagnoses), and testicular cancer has a high incidence amongst the younger age groups (age 15-44). The main message here is to check your man bits regularly, and sponsor James to support a charity which is very pertinent within our male-dominated hobby.

For live coverage of the event for anyone wishing to yell encouragemnt and wave at their TV set, check out the bbc website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/athletics/17776456

And anyone who hasn't yet made a donation, please make James' efforts all the more worthwhile by clicking on: http://www.justgiving.com/james-helliwell

Or donate by text message: TJPC68 £5 to 70070

Come on... even Northy has paid up and he's one of the most frugal people I know

It was really hard but an amazing, unforgettable experience, I recommend and warn anyone from doing it all at the same time  Thankyou to everyone who sponsored me, your funding all helps us all get slowly that little bit closer to saving lives in the future by finding preventions and cures for these horrible diseases
