Hardest possible springs to suit kyosho small bores?

I am trying to find the hardest spring rates to fit the small bore kyosho shocks.. (rears)

I am fairly sure these are dark green, but if someone could confirm it woudl be ace...

You are correct, dark greens are listed as the hardest available

http://www.petitrc.com/setup/kyosho/...pringRates.htm

but, when you try and find them they don't seem to exist. I had the same issue with front cobalt blue springs, show listed with p/n, but they don't seem to exist.

I have seen them on Insideline and Kev has some in stock, but on the off chance there was something harder I thought I would check.

Im guessing maybe TLR big bore spring in orange or red but i would think the orange would be to hard on the rear at 2.9

yep, dark green #80

Check out the spring chart on each page of the small bore kyosho springs in our shop.

clicky

Kev

Thanks Nick, its actually for the front in this case so that might work!

Cheers Kev, any chance I can order some and collect at torch?

I've never noticed that cobalt front springs have a part number. They're on the chart I mentioned! They aren't available though.

Just noticed that dark blue #68 is on that chart also but i've never seen them either.

No problem Adam, I have a few deliveries for Torch anyway.

See you there

Adam are these for the front of your short course? If so even a dark green is still pretty soft for the front of a car, i think they're something like a 2.4 rate, losi small bore springs go up to something like a 4.0 rate on the rear if they fit, i think je spares have some still.

I've got some you can try, i think the hardest i've got for the rear are orange which are about 2.7 rate.

If you can use BB springs, the Yokomo Blacks are crazy stiff, around 5.40 I believe (the short ones).

Adam F 20-04-2012 01:02 PM

Has anyone tried Losi small bore springs on Kyosho shocks?

Length isn't an issue as long as the diameter is ok...

SimonW 20-04-2012 03:13 PM

Try the old losi truck springs as they will fit as long as you use the losi bottom spring cup. HTHs.

Chalkie 20-04-2012 03:41 PM

Adam i will bring some Tuesday for you to try
