DEX 410 overheating issue
Club member has an issue with wires desoldering and esc overheat protection coming in.
Only thing he's changed is to new batteries. Gone from Demon 35c to Nano-Tech 65c. 1st time round he killed his year old esc because he hadn't taken the timing out of the motor used for the old 35c cells. Now with new esc the wires are desoldering from the motor. Read the forum and geared on standard spur and pinions from 19 to 23 on a 5.5 Tekin which we think he has now killed. Drive train is free and no signs of binding that we can see. Same 65c batteries in the 210 are fine. Phone pictures here http://s1100.photobucket.com/albums/...4-18205357.jpg Any idea's? |
May be gear it up 2 teeth? Stop the motor from revving at high end all the time???????
Also may depend on his driving, is he a throttle jammer? Hard on the power increases temp fast |

My 410's on a X12-6.5 & 24p & kit spur and have no issues |

He's on his second motor and esc :o |
Agree with mark, replace the wire, use decent solder. Also, he needs to check his settings on the ESC, thats where I would start.

As far as I'm aware the esc settings are at or near minimum. He's using an LRP TC spec with fan on. What settings would you suggest for it? Not sure if he's on o0ple so emailed him a link to thread. |
