i have this rc what is it. has gold andozied shocks and white parts on it.

Thats an RC10 - the old 6 gear version. To me it doesn't look like an RC10 Graphite though, I think its an early gold tub thats been fitted with an aftermarket carbon chassis. For a start it looks to have the stubby wishbones from the original gold tub that were replaced with longer arms on all subsequent models.

Graphite07 15-04-2012 11:15 PM

DCM 15-04-2012 11:20 PM

I am sure someone will make you an offer.

I agree with Si Coe, does look like an aftermarket chassis fitted to an earlier RC10. Probably not worth as much as the geniune graphite car unfortunately.

That is an aftermarket graphite chassis.

Probably worth more than a later car (graphite or not) due to so much of it being original... :)

Some nice parts on that car, looks like low run time and very good condition:)

Mint 6 gear gold tubs go for a lot of money. I've never seen one with a graphite chassis come up, but I suspect thats going to hurt the value. That said, gold pan chassis's themselves can be found on ebay occasionally at not so excessive prices, so maybe its best to convert back. Certainly, if it had the original chassis it would be worth a good deal.

Later cars especially stealth gearbox cars are much cheaper. Not seen a pre-stealth graphite to know what thats worth but it won't be as much as a gold tub.

Put it this way - I reckon I could get the $100 you mentioned just by stripping it down and selling the parts. As others have said, there are rare and valuable parts on that car in very good nick.

There was a graphite 6 gear went on the bay for $77 dollars yesterday.

hi
i remember those graphite chassis i used to run one on my rc10 , they had some titanium plates under gearbox to prevent rear end of chassis snapping , they did a honeycomb version which i ran a few times and snapped them , then company changed them for solid type which still did same , i can not remeber who made them, but i had to get my brother to take me to wolverhampton to a model shop who did loads for rc10`s an exchanged my chassis which was the distributor for them .
