2012 SORC Regional Series Round 1

With just over a week to go, still a number of regular racers from last year to book in. Remember that you really need to enter the early rounds or you will almost certainly be in the lower heats due to how the heats are made up.

Only drivers that have prebooked will be allowed on the rostrum to practice initially as they will be the only people that will have had their BRCA affilition confirmed, we need to do this for insurance.

If you don't show as confirmed on the competitors list, you need to get in touch and sort out your BRCA.

We will be booking in everyone that pre-enters first so they can practice straight away, once they are complete we will work through those that choose to enter on the day. If you do choose to enter on the day remember you will have less time to practice.

Racing starts at 10am, with 4 rounds of Round by Round, then 3 finals for everyone.

Usual facilities, we will have juice available trackside, hot food and toilets available at the moto x.

Any questions please post below.

Call it what you like, but you know exactly what is required. The majority are affiliated, the minority are full members.

Possibly, our permanent indoor pits are fully booked this year, but if people indicate they will not turn up we can use that. We also have the large tent, that will probably go up for the weekend as well, we can supply mains into there.

I'll get back and confirm in next few days.

Can you book online using the web form, very simple, that way you don't have to do it for every round, and I don't have to ask you for details as everything we require is on the form. If you have problems with the online form let me know and I'll book you in for this round.

Just click on the "Events" at the top of the page, hardest bit is getting the code at the bottom of the page.

Select all the rounds you want to book in for, you can change later so not a problem, then enter your date below that, make sure you fill in the boxes with a * to the right hand side.

Bryan

I think all rounds are up to date for showing competitors, but I will ensure the next meeting is accurate after we complete a round.

We will have a full set of handouts available for those that don't have pt's.

A reminder for junior drivers, as the rostrum is permanent, bring a long a suitable box to stand on to see over the fixed height hand rail.

Thanks Derek, would be good to know in advance if the tent is available for use and mains as well. I dont want to have to buy a 12v battery if i dont have to.

Cheers,

Derek, can you clarify the below please. If the timetable is as per the sorc website track opens 8 and booking in 9 how is this going to operate? Are you saying booking in can start at8am for prebooked drivers so they can then practice straight away?

Just trying to work out when to arrive!? or more importantly when to get out of bed:D

SORC website is guideline, as it was last year. We will start booking in as soon after 8am as we can, and will prioritise those that have taken the time to prebook. Once we get finished with those, we will then invite those that would like to book in on the day. Once you are booked in, we know you have BRCA insurance cover you can go out and practice. Practice will finish at 9:30, followed by drivers briefing, and heat 1 at 10am.

Mr Eccleston 15-04-2012 06:30 PM

There will be no moto x next week adjacent to us, so therefore there will be no food available, make sure you bring some food. We may have a break but as we don't know how many people will be racing that will have to be a judgement call on the day.

David is a very old friend of mine - he's welcome to my space in the box.
I'll not be there, but happy to help out.

Dave - All you'll need is a 4-way and a chair, and a bench light of sorts.

Dom, thats fantastic, thank you very much, if this is ok with the club I would love to take advantage of this. Happy to pay extra donation to the club etc for the use.
