Couple of Durga Questions

I finished building the chassis last night, but a couple of things. Looking from the top, the rear wheels toe in quite noticeably, and the ground clearance on the front end is very much less than the rear.

Is that all normal?

Cheers!

if the car is too low at the front, stick some spacers on the shocks (the smaller diameter ones, hehe)

but wait until you have everything in the car before setting the ride height.

The rear wheels should have noticable toe in, I can't imagine how it could be set wrongly so I'd not worry about it.

Cool ok, I don't have the ESC or Motor in yet. I have snagged an LRP Quantum 2 ESC, so now I need to get a motor that will work with it. Then, I'll be good to go :-)

you'll need it all in there and cells to set the height, but the manual should give you a decent idea?

Motor wise indoors I ran a 14x2 orion V2 motor, and outdoors I've been running a 12x1 orion motor. you could probably snag something similar 2nd hand fairly cheap, again because everyone is rushing toward brushless.

Thanks Jimmy, off the top of your head you think those motor specs should be fine with the quantum 2? I looked on the LRP site but could quite work out as they have several quantum 2 variants.

Cheers!

Is it the quantum competition 2 you've got? I think that one handles down to 5 or 7 turns or something daft like that. I don't know of an LRP quantum (sport, prosport etc) that doesn't handle those motors. I've raced with an orion 19 turn spec (V motor) before and that's also a great one but loses out a little bit on the straight (not as much as you'd think though).

The photo was quite small, and it was just listed as a quantum 2 (it has a heat sink on the top).

Cheers!
