Guys

A cracking weekend ahead, Friday to Monday off and an opportunity to race and not work on Monday

Anyway the jumps have been modified to make the overall section more flowing, it's been tested by Dan Brown and all is good,

Let's comment on the thread to see what interest, I'll be sorting out a top 3 per final prizes (Easter eggs), bit of fun, no other racing on locally so come and have a fun day

Thanks Steve

Hi Steve

What has been changed to jumps - closer together or different launch angle?

Rob

Just to follow on from Steve, The jumps where adjusted by Kev after a disscussion of making it work better and safer. The second jump basically has been sawn in half and a small top deck put in. This giving more room for error. If you dont jump far enough you can land it flat and drive off. so the distance has not changed too much, just the gap between first and second up ramp not down ramp. I took both 4wd and 2wd out and very pleased with how both cars deal with jumps. It still has the judgement needed in approach speed, but you have a better chance a landing either on down ramp or top without hitting up ramp on second jump nose on. Like all features its a trial and error job, trying to get a balance of challenging for drivers and keeping in mind the more novice drivers and top of the pile safety for marshalls.

Some boat... specially as I've only done maybe 20 laps with the 22! Just loving the ZX5too much at the moment...

racingben 04-04-2012 06:29 AM

I'm in Chichester over Easter so can come and play!

2wd with the 210 and 4wd with losi mini 8 please - and no moaning about being beaten by a little car this time :-)

Briangb 04-04-2012 08:10 AM

Yes! Go for it Ben. That was great fun to watch last time you were there.
Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to make it. Can't do next week either. Looks like the Regional will be a baptism of fire for me. Do I go with an untested car or stick with the 210. Currently have a 6.5t in the 210 and I think that may be overkill. Looks like a bit more soldering of motors will need to be done. They say the best form of testing is racing, so here is my No.1 excuse for the 2wd Regionals; ' I was only testing'.
If I get a chance I will pop up on Sunday. ???

Got a family thing on in the afternoon but may see if I can get down for the morning.

Rob

Brian and all - track will be closed on the 15th April anyway as per BRCA guidlines etc.

So this is the last meeting before the 2WD regional that is taking place on the 22nd April - www.dmsresults.co.uk
