WORM Racing is an electric offroad club for 1/10th and 1/16th scale electric RC cars in Weston-super-Mare that features...

- ALL WEATHER OFFROAD AstroTurf TRACK
- COVERED PITS
- TRACKSIDE CAFE AT RACE MEETINGS
- HARD STANDING PARKING
- ACCESS ANYTIME FOR MEMBERS PRACTICE

Plus...

- Indoor offroad micro racing all year round at our venue in nearby Hutton

WORM is already a well established micro racing club based indoors in Weston-super-Mare, and WORM has been a name associated with offroad racing in general in Weston for many years, but the current form of the club has expanded...and is now back outdoors too!

The outdoor offroad part of the WORM club is effectively also the offroad section of the long running Mendip RC onroad club (MMMRC), who have kindly given us access to the an area of land roughly 30m x 20m, on which we've built an all weather AstroTurf track that is perfect for club racing and all being well South West regional events in 2013 and the future.

Our race calender can be found *** HERE ***

To begin with we plan to run throughout the year on Sundays, roughly once a fortnight, and we'll be coordinating with other clubs in the region to make sure we don't clash. But with other events, clubs and the MMMRC onroad club that we share the site with there are times when this might vary, so check the online calender for the latest info.

During the light spring/summer months we also run weekly open practice evenings. On occasion this might also be timed race meetings depending on numbers and demand.

Race days will cater for all 1/10th and 1/16th classes, so 2wd, 4wd, trucks and 2wd & 4wd micros.

Sadly we cannot cater for anything bigger, so no 1/8th nitro or electric cars at all. The track is simply not big enough for this to be fun or safe.

We do memberships for the club, priced at £25 for the year. This gives you key access the offroad track and covered pits at any time for open practice (except when the onroad club is using their track, then the offroad track is closed), and cheaper race fee's. If you join before Dec 31st 2012 then your membership will run until Dec 31st 2013. Currently we can only take payment in cash at race meetings.

Racing costs £8 per day for non members, and £5 per day for members, so good savings to be made if your going to be a regular.

The clubs website, facebook and YouTube pages are all kept up to date...so get connected and keep up to date with all the latest news

Hi,
i raced at the mendip many years ago in the 5th scale class while living in Burnham.
Great location and what can only be described as a fantastic place to set-up a new outdoor track.
All the very best luck and may just have to travel down one weekend and have a race.
OH and visit our old neighbours lol

I plan just to use whatever I have lying around...so the usual schuey yellows and Ballistic greens!

If they don't work too well...oh well...these first meetings are really only for laughs anyway :-)
