410 Djoints

Hi

Whos bought th d joint driveshaft set for the 410 and what do you think to them compared to the std ones are they worth the money ?

They seem good to me, the drive train seems to run a lot more free on the bench this must help too keep stuff a little cooler, one bloke said tonight they make getting the driveshaft thro the hoop easier when removing the diff (not that's it's a great problem with stds)

If you need to replace your driveshafts as the originals are worn I would defo go for them

I fitted them and they certainly make things a bit more free rolling.

The Car is alot smoother and spools up alot quicker as there is zero resistance on the drivetrain, I have been running them on polished floor and i would say that they cause an increase in accelaration without a doubt.

Well worth the money in my opinion

I've noticed the 2mm grub screw on the centre shaft doesn't come lose anymore because the vibration has disappeared due to the angle of the CVD is greatly reduced. It's also a lot quieter.

Well worth it.

These d joints remind me of the Losi LSD front drive shafts which got rid of a lot of vibration on the front steering of a xx4. It does mean that you have extra drive pins and extra grub screws to worry about coming undone but if built properly (de-grease with nitro spray and use Locktite 222e and leave overnight) I am sure there is no problem.
