Drop or compress?

When people set their suspension up do they drop the car from 6 inches or compress it when its on the floor and take the measurement from the rebound?
Thanks

Drop is my favoured method since this is roughly how the car will settle from a jump.

i personally use compress i think u just have to choose 1 and stick to it and not go from method to the other!

Its all relative, as long as you are consistent in how you measure it.

If you brake hard into a corner then the ride height will be similar to pushing the nose down and letting go.

After hard acceleration the front will be like lifting the nose up to full travel then letting go.

Both of these situations will create a slightly different resting height.

i dont think it makes much difference as long as you are consistent in what you choose
