lipos and esc
 

Hello, at the risk of sounding thick can i just use lipos instead of my nimh batteries. I only have one pack of batteries, a 4500 orion rocket pack. Dont laugh...am on a budget. Back when i raced my cobra and meteor i was pleased to updrade to 1200scrs!!!
I need to get more packs to allow me to race. Seeing that you can get 2 5 minute races and more out of a fully charged lipo then this maybe a cheaper option. Seeing a thread about B4s and lipos i thought i'd post this.
I have a nosram patriot reverse. Will this handle lipos?
I have an ansmann charger, the base one that ha digital display and will charger everything.

in short, yeh, you dont need to convert or swap anything.
lipos replace nimh and give you a bigger burst due to higher voltage.

just make sure you have a lipo charger.
