caster fusion f18 esc

Hi folks

after some help, have got the caster f18 and cannot seem to get the ESC set up half way decent on the kit rtr radio, have tried to reset it several times but it always seems to have a big deadband then feels like the power comes in at XX% rather than being linear and smooth, perhaps im asking to much but at the moment at our venue which is wooden floor its almost impossible to drive, i believe the esc is hobbywing 25a but not 100% and I have managed to download the manual and reset everything on it and reset the radio

The non-sensored micro motors are not the smoothest, but deadband really shouldn't be a problem.
I assume you are using the kit supplied motor also?
Firstly I'd set all of the ESC's settings to their most basic, so no timing advance etc.
Make sure that all of your trims and settings on your handset are set to neutral before you reset it too.
Have you double-checked that all of your connections are OK? particularly the 3 motor wires (one being dodgy may cause it to be 'sticky' which may be the issue)

Do you have any other radio gear that you can swap-out one piece at a time in order to pin-point the issue to a component????

Sorry its a bit basic, but basic is usually the best place to start with fault finding :)

ive got several hobbywing esc but never had this
the dead band is adjustable but if you reset then it should be default anyway
the only thing i can suggest is when you hold down the setup button and then release after you switch on(the motor should go beep beep etc)the first press of the setup button from then on finds the neutral point of your transmitter, then the full throttle then full brake position
maybe try it again as it might not have picked it up properly
hope this helps a bit :)
