cat sx steering.
Hi there.
Can anyone help me? I've just got an original cat sx, I'm using a savox servo with a standard servo horn. Is it usual for the steering to hit its limits, left and right before the servo reach's it's limits, putting it another way the servo wants to move the steering assembly further that it can go. Is this a common problem and if so what can i do to stop this from happening as the alumimium servo mount/ bracket moves when on full lock. Many thanks. Andrew |
You need to set the end point adjustment on you transmitter.

You could try turning down the End Point Adjustment on your transmitter.

I'm using an old skool 27 meg futaba attack r transmitter, do i need to get a new one??

I think so to cure your problem. Core rc do a fairly cheap one that's also 2.4 that should do the trick. A better transmitter will make a big difference to your driving as well probably.

I think this is fairly common with all cars on the market these days.

Andrew, Im in exactly the same boat as you. Recently bought a used Cat SX, when I fitted the electrics the servo looked like it was getting pulled out of the bracket. Im using an Ansmann W3 controller. Having read the advice on your thread I reduced my end point adjustment for left and right to 60% to stop it moving. At 65% it still moves, but not much. Problem sorted... Thanks guys.
