Help please!

Hi everyone. I am having trouble with my brushles sensorlesss esc, for some reason it will not run for 5 mins it will do 4.50 Max before the esc cuts out. I originally thought it was just getting too hot and the gearing was wrong, but its not at all hot nor is the motor. I an running 80-18 gearing and the car is an Ansmann mad rat. I am a nitro driver and am new to the electric and wondered if anyone had any ideas on what's happen i ng. think there motor might be on the way out

sorry meant to say I think the esc is on the way out.

Are the settings on your charger correct, to fully charge your battery?

Charging at 4amps to 8.4v, then keep charging with voltage at 8.4v and current dropping to .5amps, then charging stopping?

Would also help if we knew what turn motor and which Esc you have.

Yeah its nothing to do with the battery because when it stops it still stears

The servo will work with minimal power, the speedo wont.

What speedo is it? Is voltage cut off set too high?

stumpiey 06-03-2012 08:39 PM

if you can give us more info the more one of us can help you out mate

Fixed it. The temperature cut out must not be working properly. Turned the over heat protection off and runs for about 6 mins with motor and speedo temperature staying at 30 degrease c.

Thanks for all the ideas. Appreciate it.

I'd check what's actually broken. The temp sensor or the software or something else.

Get a temp gun on it to make sure that the temps the system says it at are the temps its actually at........ roughly.
