what radio?
I will be looking for a new radio set shortly so can you suggest some to look at? ko? sanwa? What do you guys use and why?
I am in the process of sending back the faulty code system and don't want a direct replacement so suggestions of anything better than that please. I will be looking for a used system most likely as I'm pretty skint atm |
90% f the guys i race with use a futaba 3vcs,
none available on ebay at the moment but there are a few of its older version, the 3vc, which are basicly the same handset but the screen is slightly different but all controlls and options in the menu's are the same. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Futaba-3vc...item43ada78365 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Futaba-T3V...item231a6fca82 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUTABA-T-3...item4cfeeedd6d . |
Ko Propo
I go with KO PROPO..their range is excellent and easy to use!
A Vantage 2 is easy to come by and Spek compatible. I have both Helios and Esprit 3. I had 3vc and 3pks. They are good, but I found the 3pks a little bulky. |
I used to own the old vantage esprit, with the dials not digital, good bit of kit back in the day!
I would like a 2.4 set really, so maybe a used esprit 2 with module would be more affordable than an esprit 3. Thanks for the input so far :) Quote:

I'd go with the 3VC, had one for 18 months with no problems whatsoever, and I could point you in the direction of an amazing 2.4 kit for £25 (new) just fitted one to mine and can't fault it.

Re: KO.
I think the Esprit 2 is better build quality than the Esprit 3 (from what Ive heard)? |

Since returning to racing I have nothing but good things to say about the Sanwa Exzes X. |
Hmmm
I never used an esprit 2, but I think the esprit universe is the best stick out there.
Sanwa do some good trannies...the Exzes is worth looking at aswell..user-friendly design and good solid build. I tried the m11 once and hated it....it lop-sided design creates a weight imbalance that is noticeable...not sure why its still popular especially in the US where the Airtronics brand is strong  |
