ribbed for a better feeling?
does any one know is ribbed tyres on the front of a 2 wheel drive car handles better than pins or spikes?
|
it depends on the surface you are racing on. ribs tend to be used on clay tracks, but can also be used on very high traction tracks where spikes are too "snatchy".
give us some details of where you race and we may be able to help further |
Walla, the only reason that i started using them was because i found that they lasted longer and because on the track in middlesbrough it was very high traction so i sometimes found it too snatchy with spikes and with ribbed it didn't do that. :)

at wbmcc, we can't use minipins, so staggered ribs are the choice, even for 4wd

its for the regionals on grass?

Spikes all day, every day for grass.

Agreed, the GRP compound seems to work very well on grass, better than schumachers i've found, they have a more consistant and smoother grip feel to them, my choice everytime when possible!

They visually wear more, but from what i've experienced seem to keep the grip longer than schumachers. I'd say you'd get through that many races on them yes, maybe even more depending how competitive you are. Give them a try, you wont go far wrong with them!

Im using the Jarow 4wd regional as praccy so i'll test them then
