Vinyl mask doesn't like sticking to liquid mask as much as it does to the shell but yeah it's fine that's how I do most of mine.

I would think you would stick the vinyl mask on before the liquid mask, but why bother, use tape?

Ian - I think he meant putting liquid mask over the top of vinyl.

Yes, that is fine. Carefull with very detailed bits though

Thats what I thought  , I wanted to use L/M because my sx3 didn't come with window mask so I thought it would be easier to cut the windows out with the L/M, What you think is best to do in this situation?

I would trace them out, transfer it to an off cut of vinyl or 2" tape, and use that, if all your doing is a vinyl mask and straight colour.

Thanks Dcm I'l give that a go, sorry to pick your brains again but would you happen to know where I could get some A4 vinyl and transfer paper from at a good price?

DCM 23-02-2012 07:08 AM

I would guess, a good craft and arts shop maybe?

eyeayen 23-02-2012 08:11 AM

Sorry Matthew, I mask the whole shell with LM, then I'll cut out sections and put the cut vinyl over it to get an effect, hexagons or circuit board type stuff as you've seen in my thread.

You can buy mask from here http://www.everythingairbrush.com/acatalog/Masking.html

I don't know if Jon's stocking that yet ?

Did you know your email has been hacked, I got a few spammy emails from you a few days ago ? I'm pretty sure it wasn't you sending them
