Durango Undertrays 410 + 210

Im interested in using an undertray on my cars to stop all teh scratches. seems a shame that the cars are such a work of art for them to get all messed up the first time i take them outside.

But to get some made im gunna need to have a sensible batch size. would anyone else be interested in running one? Or has someone got an alternative idea to protect them? plastics paint or something?

You could try this:

Chassis protection sheet, clear sticky sheet that goes on to the chassis.

Available here: http://p-dubracing.co.uk/page11.php
(about 1/2 way down)

I'm just in the process of making some chassis protectors for the 410 and 210 for myself but have considered selling a few if there's any demand.

I've just finished the 210 design along with a Vega 201 and the 410 is not too far off - they can be made or without all the screw holes cut out.

They're made out of a clear thick "stone chip" vinyl similar to the usual chassis protection sheets (the red is only for the photo) which is pretty sturdy stuff.
If you're interested give me a PM and i'm sure i can get someone to bring them along to Os one night (Moggy or Bish) or stick them in the post.

All done....
I've got the 410 chassis protector done to go along with the 210 and it fits a treat.

As mentioned earlier the sheets will be clear and not coloured - all the holes will be pre cut.

Anyone interested just drop me a PM for details.

I'll be needing both of those please.. Do you want to borrow a short course to knock one up for that too..? And a Losi mini 8? And don't forget the chassis protectors for the battery area..;)

afun1979 25-02-2012 08:22 PM

Sounds like a plan.
Watch this space in the near future and i'll get the Durango Short course and Losi mini 8 chassis covers designed and made....

Chassis protectors for the battery area - good idea, and i think a nice textured carbon fibre vinyl will do the job nicely.

I can also make you some kind of cover for "your" chair at club - i've noticed a hole wearing though between 7.30 and 8.00....lol:thumbsup:

You do shipping to the USA on that 210 protector?

afun1979 28-02-2012 10:51 AM

Sorry, unfortunately not - All because of US customs.
I run an ebay shop and i use to sell to the US but ALL of our items took months to arrive or never arrived at all.

Since then i never sell to the US purely because i don't want to get a bad reputation and have to give refunds for something out of my control.

cigbunt 28-02-2012 11:08 PM

WHITTLER555 29-02-2012 06:11 PM

Hi, I have just received my order very prompt!

They look really well cut out, i just need a steady hand now to put them on!

I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

WHITTLER555 29-02-2012 07:11 PM

Well I took my time and I am really impressed.

They fit spot on and even allow a bit of re-positioning if you get them slightly out of line.

First race at Southport will be the major test but we are not there until Easter so i will report back on how they cope with the dreaded cobble section.

Got mine today, great service. Just stuck on the 410 and very happy. All holes for the screws are spot-on. Got a couple of small bubbles but thats down to my lack of sticker skills.
