What is the general consensus on these, i know drake won with them, but what are they like for the average joe?

They are ok. I got a 21 and 28 to review and they were pretty good but the didn't last long and seems to be the consensus with this engine and the Ninja (who was made by GRP also).

I strongly suspect that Adam did a whole load of porting and polishing work, he has written a few articles for this in the US, it would explain the run times.

Regards,
Neil.

When you say it didnt last long, how long are we talking.

2 Gallon???

Teddy.... a pull start engine would be better than your previous engine supplier!

Want it just that they stuck in 5-6mm carb restrictors to get the run time?

I'm not sure who would buy a GRP engine after the first GRP/Falcon/Nija's. Certainly has put me off anyway. As for run times, I say that's driving technique rather than anything else.

I'm looking forward to trying the new OS made Ninja.

Bang for the buck, I can't recommend the LRP Z-series enough. I have the LRP Z.21R Spec 2 in my 1/8th buggy and it proved reliable and easy to tune. In terms of power it can keep up with much more expensive RB or OS engines.

Sirio all the way!

loving mine and will be having another next time :)

[email protected] 22-04-2008 08:41 PM

I think that with some porting work and Adam's cool throttle finger.

Alot of people say that OS Engines are expensive but in my view they are quite cheap... £145 for a Vspec.
