Hi footey,

what batterie-pack does he run? how much tooth does that purple spurgear have? and wich endebell was melted/wich section is that.

not sure of the size of the spure gear he uses gp3700 and it was the part where the bearing sits the bit u can ajust the timing if that helps

ah it's the motor?! so, did he ever let the armature get in sight of a comm lathe? did he renew the diff's? try to check on all the ballbearings... the xx-4 causes alot of stress to the electronics when the maintenance isent done well.
and if you want a motor that does not overheat that fast... try one with the new checkpoint can.
we run them this summer in xx-4's/ mr4-bx @ 36°C outside and with 4200er shv cells, and they do the job.

i hope that will help, otherwise feel free to ask more or pm.

greets marco

20 tooth pinion sounds closer, the xx4 is very critical of gearing, one tooth either way and they get a bit too hot.
He will need holes in the body as well.
