Spektrum telemetry receiver

I have just purchased a Spektrum DX3S and am not sure which ports I can use. The throttle and steering are self explanatory, but then there is Bind, Auxillary, then Lap, Temp and RPM for the telemetry.

Ignoring the telemetry for a moment, I have my PT and power cap to plug in. One can go in the Aux port, but can the bind port be used for the other? If so, then does it matter which one goes in which port? If I can't use the Bind port for either the PT or Power Cap then what do I do? It says not to use the telemetry ports as it will cause damage so they are out of the question....

bind port also doubles as a battery port, so basicall you can use the channels and the bind, aux no problem

Thanks Mark, I was kind of assuming as much but wasn't willing to risk it without checking first.

Gone back to the wheel again?
Any joy with the esc yet?

I want to try both mate and find the best compromise. I prefer braking with the sticks, but I have more feel and control with the steering when using a wheel, so I can either brake but not steer, or steer but not brake. Im not sure which is worse... :woot:

I have sent the ESC back to Matt this morning so will have to wait and see what happens....

As soon as I receive it mate i'll send it straight to Xfactory for review. They have advised that Warrenty claims on the Viper's usually take only 2-3 days. I will be posting you a loan ESC out today mate

Thanks Matt, its much appreciated!

I just hope there is no underlying problem that caused it to fail. Im sure there isnt as I didnt change anything other than changing the receiver over, but when you are borrowing someone elses electrics I worry, just in case......
