Nice one Mick :)

I like the metalic purple, i've been looking for a similar colour for my works. And yeah, we need naked pics too ;)

Paul.

Do you want the correct Cougar rear shock/wing mount for it?

BORMAC 13-02-2012 04:13 AM

Topcat/Cougar

Good to see some more people taking more interest in the old Cougar. I have painted and tried out a few Cougar Mk1 shells over the years but I just don't know why but I have a hard time liking the lines of the Mk1 shell. In the end I went for a Topcat shell trimmed to suit the upright front end of the Mk1 Cougar.

Not to hijack your thread Mick but I wanted to share this pick of my Mk1 with the Topcat shell fitted. It ticks all the boxes for me

Hi Mick,
Yes I got those parts and I even left you positive feedback over on 10TALK.

I really have a soft spot for Cougars and Topcats. Back when Schumacher were releasing the Topcat it was like a shrowd of secrecy prior to it's launch. Compared to what else was around in 2WD back then the Topcat seemed ultra revolutionary. It's a pitty the front end didn't hold up to the jumps too well. Ultimately when the upright kit was released for the front end it wasn't long till the new model 'Cougar' was released. Then they really upped the ante when the Cougar2 came out soon followed by the even further refined 'WORKS' car. All great evolutionary steps that finished with a very competitive design for all tracks.

I love this Cougar, looks great with the TopCat shell & over-length front tower. P.S; are the shocks polished AE items?

Jason, just wondered if you had any more of the green 'Reedy' stickers as displayed on your shell... its one of the ellusive decals that I need for my Masami YZ-10 build :)
