Beginners 4wd

Hi all

Not sure where this should be posted but I'm looking to race at Faversham off road club and need to get a 4wd chassis. Now they only run stock indoors as its a small hall and I only want to run the buggy occasionally as I mostly run touring car (I know I'm swearing here!!)
I have been looking around at second hand stuff but what I have come across is well abused. I used to have an MR4BC for bashing as it was cheap but would something like that be ok? I have also looked at the Dark Impact by Tamiya but Tamiyas tend to need loads of hopups. I was thinking off a second hand xxx but as I said what I have found is mostly abused and needs lots of money thrown at it.
I have plenty of spare radio and cells what do you all think I should get?

Thanks

TJF

indoors there is still not much to touch the xxx4.
second hand these are £100 or less. if you buy a cheap tamiya for the same money you would spend another £100 in upgrades to make it competitive.

If money is the issue stick to 2wd, 4wd is more expensive to keep running, harder on motors and cells and requires more maintenance.

You could try a mr4-bcx, they are ok-ish. I would definiteyly stick out for the best car you can afford, such as a good nick losi xxx-4 g+
