What TF5 Parts fit a TF6 ?

Do any of the older TF5 parts fit a TF6

eg

Suspension arms, Hubs, Ball cups,

Any more info would be appreciated.

Not so much really the TF6 is a complete new car!

RogerM 06-02-2012 12:30 PM

As Neil said nothing directly. You CAN, with a fair bit of Dremel work, use the front steering knuckles at a push (as I have had to once) but not much else.

The TF6 is a great car, I'm no TC driver but I just put it down and it went quickly. A few teething problems, mainly of my own making it must be said, but now super happy with it and still finding more pace every time I run it.

Thanks for the info so far,

I made a few phone calls in the UK for some spool outdrives (TF220) and still waiting for replys.

I did find some in Japan, a company named Banzai but these have just emailed me and stated that they are out of stock so that's another 5 days to add on the shipping.

Have you tried JE Spares? They will get anythink Kyosho for you as fast as is possible.

Well:

I have just spoken to JESpares,

Great service but no luck.

They do not have the spool outdrives or suspension arms in stock so they rang Kyosho and then rang me back within a few minutes.

Outcome:

Kyosho UK have TF226H suspension arms in stock (I only need these for spares)

They have one outdrive in stock (I need two to get the car working) and they will not be bringing any more outdrives (TF220) into the UK :woot: as Kyosho will soon be releasing a new car without the TF6 ball bearing driveshafts.

So I desperately need to convert my TF6 to normal type driveshafts or sell it to someone overseas

Any ideas anyone :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused::confused::confused:

TF220 is a pair so dont worry.

We will keep this part and you can get for years dont worry but we will keep less qty on the shelf.

Thanks Neil, If it's a pair I will phone and order now.

zerogrip 07-02-2012 02:28 PM

Just orderd the outdrives and suspension arms from JE, I did look on Ebay and found new TF6 cars still for sale in Italy and a few spares in Japan.

Will the new Kyosho tourer be a TF7 then ?

If so would it be possible to use parts from this for the TF6 ?

The spool outdrives are plastic, it's shame a metal outdrive version is not available, for some strange reason the the diff does have metal outdrives

Thanks,

A good upgrade is the gear diffs.

use kyosho SIL0800 in the rear and SIL500000 in the front.

Comes with Metal out drives :)

The new car is a TF6 SP and price will be less scary than the current model.

hloland 07-02-2012 09:15 PM

Do you have the part number for the gear difs?
