Nooooooo ANOTHER UGLY f1

Why from the land of the worlds leading fashion stylists did they release this lego car

That Ferrari is truely ugly! What are they thinking?!?! That step in the front looks aweful...unless they are thinking downforce...but I don't know enough about that subject to know if that shape is good or bad?!?!

I've not kept up with the rule changes for next year so far...but sad to see the stupid front wings haven't been changed! They seriously need to reduce the widths of them to help the drivers out...it's no wonder they clash so often with that much bodywork on the corners that they can't see to judge! They are just dangerous IMO.

Still yet to figure out if there is a cheap way to watch it this year too....sooooo sad to see sky f@#king things right up this year...bad times :(

Damn the 2012 cars are ugly! Can't wait to see which other manufacturers choose this route of madness. They ought to dock the team some points for making HD TV viewing a dissadvantage for viewers.

stepped nose

Hello all,

The Ferrari and the caterham aren't lookers thats for sure.....
The Force India has gone down the same route.........
But hey, if it's fast..................

Greetings

Hans

Suddenly the Caterham looks pretty. At least we know who's to blame, the FIA wanted to bring the chassis front down to match the nose but the teams wouldn't allow it.

Well we just have to put up with this for a year, in 2014 the front of the nose has to be even lower so we should see more cars looking like the Mclaren.

The cheap way is to watch all the races for free on the BBC, even if they are just highlights and Sky have run off with all the decent people leaving the BBC with Jake, Eddie and David - serves the BBC right. Messes up trying to watch with live timing alongside though. I will be trying to watch live using online streams, the same way I watch alms, indycars and nascar now.

If you already have sky TV but not the sport channels (like me), if you go for their HD pack you'll get the F1 channel.

May help some people out as the HD is cheaper then the sprorts.

I blame Team Xtreme and their Vega Shell, unfortunately the F1 cars don't have a suitable front shock tower to hide that ugly bump!

That's a great video...look forward to more of that kind of insight this year...good work BBC

I too am of the mind to ignore the sky option as I have no other interest in using Sky...but in the name of research I have just looked, and I might be wrong but it looks like you get Sky TV without any of their channel packages except the HD pack, which should then include the F1 channel for £10.25 per month with a free +HD box?!?

It's still £10 per month, but it's not as expensive I thought it might be if you leave out all the options they try to sell you normally.

That is of course unless I've got it wrong and you need the basic entertainment package...at £20 per month...to receive the free to air channels?!?!?

We've got bog standard sky, if we upgrade to HD (£10 a month), you get the F1 channel included.

F1 channel is free if you have sports or HD packages.

£10 a month if you dont

blue_pinky 03-02-2012 12:27 PM

Sorry...a little off topic now I know, but that's Interesting...and what does bog standard sky cost you?

I 'think' it's about £25 quid a month (ish)

EDIT: There's a £20 package which doesn't include documentaries etc

Booo...that's what I was worried about...never mind...back on topic now...:)

bodgit 03-02-2012 02:04 PM

Looking at the force India you have to wonder what they have done to keep the crumple zone in the front with such a thin nose, there a hell of a loss of material there.

BBC still have 10 races live (the good ones) and extended highlights for the others (like the valencia snorefest for example).

So the cheap way is to watch them for free.

It really isn't difficult to work out.

I don't think you could have been more wrong there if you tried!

They're not showing the first TWO races of the season live, and the opening weekend is what we wait nearly 4 months for, and out of the 10 races they have, it's only really Monaco, Silverstone and Spa that i would consider the 'good ones'.

Also, they're showing the 'snorefest' LIVE as per their web page... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/race-calendar/ to further show they know how to pick a decent race to broadcast!

I'm gonna watch this season on Sky, and before people moan about the additional cost, personally, i think the cost is value for many considering i don't have to listen to the blabbering idiot that is Eddie Jordan!

pieterke 03-02-2012 03:53 PM

please someone take the ferrari badge of that thing it is not worth it
that's all I have to say about it :(
