It's not standard carbon.

Thanks Dan ! Would we have the opportunity to meet each other again, at the 2008 Kampenhout GP?

And yes the carbon fiber sheet I started from is a quite non-conventional one: something between twill and plain wave ;)

Stay tuned !

Olivier

Yes, looking forward to it. We're staying at the ETAP by the Formule 1 so we can go to the same bar :)

5 cell hey, interesting..

ryan 17-03-2008 01:10 PM

Would it be possible to fit a 6th cell in?

Looks like room in it, but the chassis would need a 6th slot in it.

ryan 17-03-2008 01:15 PM

Dremel:woot:

Olivier, you never stop to amaze me!

I think we must name you King Midas! Since everything you touch seems to turn into gold!

Congratulations with a very well designed and beautiful site! Do you do all the graphics work yourself?

When can I order the parts?

And I can't wait to see the new bodyshell...

PS. 6 cells is sooo last year! Even the year before that... 5 cells is the real deal!

Gayo 17-03-2008 02:07 PM

Haha, SHY, we knew from day one that you would be the first to buy anything from Olivier !

I can answer a few questions :

- Yes you can use 6 cells, but some Dremel time is required. I don't know yet for myself if I will go for 5 cells or stay "straight" :D
- web design is made by Antoine Rossetti, actual french 4WD champion
- Ordering : I will let Olivier answer here, it's his baby after all !

rusti 17-03-2008 02:10 PM

Hi,

Olivier it's my example. Un ouf dans sa tête !

SHY, the web site, it's me :D

When I had my MiD44 Oliv'? :wub

As you might noticed, my first prototype is 5 cells chassis with possible conversion to 6 cells. The definitive chassis set could be as follow :

This 6 cells version is design so that it could easy receive either B44 or Tateego (Team-Azarashi) body shells.

Yeah, Olivier is totally amazing!!
The job is really awesome.
Now waiting for ours.... :)

Mike Hudson 17-03-2008 03:10 PM

I really want to see this back to back with a standard B44, looks really awsome, one fine job:thumbsup: the top decks on the standard B44 have known to break easy around the ball stud area though, a little more material round the ball stud area would take away one of the well known breakages:thumbsup:
