Sanwa servo repair

After many years of faithful service, my Sanwa ERG-VRZ servo has decided not to play ball anymore. Occasionally it'll just stop dead mid-travel, leaving me going very wide mid corner

Seems to happen when moving the stick slowly rather than vigorously? Don't know if it's electrical or possibly a damaged tooth - does centre okay and 99% of the time travels to each end point.

Was told to contact SMD, but just had an email saying that they don't really carry out non-warranty repairs.

Anyone else out there that could take a look?

try "pugs" on here he has done a bit of leccy stuff for me

or the evergreen derek bailey

just had a thought have had one of mine play up recently worked fine till load applied turned out small brass gear was spinning in outer gear instead of being solid

yours does sound more leccy than meccy tho

Cheers Fid - took it apart last night for a quick look. No obvious signs of any chipped or missing teeth, so I'm going with the electrical fault being the most likely.
