Check the wires from the speedo to the motor go to the right poles

simon 11-01-2012 08:45 PM

Hi,
yes all wires correct,A to A etc...the motor is going in the right direction, its just i need to change its direction to go forward...its sensored as well.....

have you tried reversing the throttle on the tranny?

simon 11-01-2012 08:54 PM

Yes that just makes it go backards on the brake side..doesnt change the direction of the motor.......

have heard of this issue before but can't remember how they solved it, ill ask them and let you know unless you get it sorted first?

Ok great...yes its a problem..the only thing to do is buy a sensored esc with reverse?..or sensorless and swop the wires?

sounds like the diffs are in upside down and you can just reverse the motor on a brushless set up

simon 11-01-2012 10:11 PM

Diffs are all ok......you cant reverse the motor with a nosram matrix istc.......

Novak GTB2 is one that does this I think

GM do, as long as you have access to the USB interface and a pc. I think Losi excelorions (or however you spell it) do too.

So is it just the ftx vantage that you have have this with or is it other buggys as well, mad monkey, couger etc?

If this is a sensored motor and the wires are connected correctly, it really does sound like your diffs are in the wrong way round, which on a shaft drive will reverse the direction of travel. Try flipping them over, it should fix the issue.

I run an LRP ESC (same as the Nosram) with a Losi motor and it works fine.

Hi Dale,

Swopped the diffs round...all good!

Cheers simon
