Fister engine lube
Really cool to be able to have a go with this stuff at the weekend.
http://www.fister-rc.com/fis04.jpg We were advised by the ‘Fister’ people that this would help us get engines running in the cold weather, and can be used on both new and old engines. Myself & G both have brand new OS V-spec engines, we removed the plugs and popped a couple of drops of Fister lube through the holes, into the bores. The story goes that there is a tiny amount of Teflon suspended in solution in the oil; this enables the piston to slide easily through the ‘pinch’ spot on the engine without loosing compression. We did not do any back to back tests so can’t say without doubt that there was a benefit, we didn’t have any problems through the day with engines not starting easily. As yet we do not know when it will be available to buy in the UK, watch this space. :woot: |
can it not be added to the fuel tank?
Sounds like a good product, my Picco P3 is a bitch to start when cold.... |
It's only in small bottles, like the small locktite ones.
I don't think a lot of teflon will do the engines & plugs any good. The idea is that it's flushed through the engine just after starting. |
I am waiting for the Piespeed stuff

good to see you using a good lube before starting lol
|
I heard G also fisted the opposition:o:thumbsup:

I guess this is a good oportunity to thank FISTER-RC for supporting us with the neo08 race report and photos! Thanks guys!
I was really hoping to try some of the Fister Lubes this weekend myself but I'll not be racing now - but it's good to hear the testing went well Stu. |
I want some of this for my tight Picco engine..... whens it coming out?
