Hard on the front, soft on the rear, the 54s refered to is a part no rather than a shore no.you will need a tyre such as Pink soft on the rear(part no V54S).Its easier to stick to the shore no`s for the front so as not to get confused, circuit racing on carpet 46 or 48 is normal, with the new CE kit drivers are using 50 to stop grip roll.A hard tyre is used on the front to introduce understeer so as not make the car to sensitive, otherwise you will find that your car will spin out as soon as you turn it at racing speed. Its always a little different for everyone so you may have to try a few combinations to find whats best for you, better to start harder on the front first (48) and reduce the shore (go softer) if you want more steering.
