Assocaiated shocks on DB01

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Im rebuilding my DB01 and going to replace the Associated shocks instead of the old plastic shocks and as you can see in the pic the rear associated shocks are slightly longer than the plastic ones. Just wondering is it a good idea to put a spacer in to reduce the length of the shocks?

Looking at the difference in length, I would. The driveshaft might pop out the outdrive if not

I'm using atomic carbon carbon fibre shock tower would it make any difference??

It Could do if the top shock mount holes are at a different height to Standard. If the atomic tower is higher then you should be fine.

If you use the top holes on the atomic tower you should be ok as I ran both ae and losi shocks without limiters on mine

Pete is correct, as the option shocks from Tamiya are longer than the kit shocks to. The AC rear tower was designed to use both kit/TRF501 shocks and TRF511/AE/DB01 Tamiya hop-up shocks.

I'm running the original plastic tower at the front do I need limiter for the front?

You should be fine, just check the length against kit shocks...

Just measured it n the AE front shocks r sligjtlly longer than the plastic ones so would the AC shock tower solve the problem or do o need limiter?

you should be fine.
