Just a quick note guys the ansmann is a lot smaller than most sc
So finding tyes that fit will be problem like the shumacher mini spike

The ansmann core and x2sc are the normal size, its one of these I am after

I would double check that to be honest, i think the CORE is the right size and all the other 'short courses' they sell are too small in comparison

Both the core and the x2sc are the right size and the rest are incorrect.

Yeah the core is great for the money but I would defiantly consider the X2SC as it is a great truck. I have upgraded my core to X2SC spec and it is a great short course truck. I have been getting good results with it, My best probably would be the first time I drove it.

I borrowed the car off a friend of mine for the last round of the short course nationals. I managed to qualify 9th in the A final and had some good runs over the three legs to finish 6th overall. Since then I have brought the car I borrowed, changed it to full X2SC spec, and now it is going better than ever.

I would say if you by the X2SC then the only needed upgrades are changing the diff balls to some better ones and maybe an updated idler gear and change the spur gear to an 80 tooth one(although this depends what motor you will be running).

X2SC is a great car and a good price and definitely competitive with the other trucks on the market. It also doesn't require much in the way of upgrading.

Check out the X2SC setup thread in this forum for some of my set-ups

Core and X2SC will fit schumacher minispikes no problem. It is the SC2 and X4SC (Sometimes called SC4) which are the buggies with a bodyshell on.

Hi, I'm running a Core with 9tezrun and the only failings have been the front chassis brace and the shell. I have just bought a JConcepts Manta shell for it and obviously replaced the brace.......have also ballraced and fitted stainless botls....I'd love to see your X2SC.....what are the differences between the Core and the X2SC? cheers

Robbiejuk 11-01-2012 10:37 PM

The differences between the core and the X2SC are ballraces, alloy bodied shocks, adjustable turnbuckles clear bodyshell and I think that is about it. The plastics might be different as in the madrat versus x2 but not sure.

As I say I upgraded my core to what I think is the same spec as the x2sc.
