C4.1 Diff: which way around?

Taking the car apart for a rebuild and totally forgotten which way the diff goes?. As you look at the car from back to front (car driving away) which side is the adjuster

Think mine comes loose the other way, hence why I needed it correct..... Done three duffs today's and all as smooth as sex wee!

As I understand it, it is to stop the diff loosening! The direction of drive will tend to tighten it/hold it in rather than loosen it.

Usually opposite side to the spur gear....unless you have a 4wd
