Novak speedo problems help please!!?
 

well basically my speedo is done for, but i was hoping for some hope from you guys. last year i bought a novak super sport brushless system off of ebay. it was fine and i even run it recently at batley supercup. but today when i went to run it in my drift car, it didnt turn on. no power but it does give power to my servo. no light on it and no noise, just power to my servo.:yawn:

i am really skint and cannot afford to fork out like £££ for another. so i was wondering if any had had the same problems before and how it can be fixed.

also what is the warranty on these things as i know its 120 days but only for god damn americans only :thumbdown::(

as i said, i cant run my b4 brushless or my drifter without it so any help would be really really appreciated.

I know it sounds daft but make sure the sensor lead is fully plugged in, novak GTB's just sit there flashing there lights if the sensor lead is out.

i have had a simillar problem to this one day when i was trying to mess around with the profiles on my novak i had power to the servo but not to the motor.

basicly all i did was reset the speedo to the transmitter which put all the setting back to factory and the speedo was fine.

how do you reset? as basically the esc isnt lighting up or doing anything?

i have the manual if that is what you are showing me, there is nothing in it about it.
i think you need your esc on to reset dont you?

Turn it on...........
Press the setup button as detailed in the instructions...........
follow instructions........

It's the standard setup, not some special setup.

it doesnt turn on..... no lights

if your getting power to the servo then its turning on .

if your servos working but not the motor try changing your reciver wire around in chan 2

lol, ive tried that too. i cant reset the esc coz no light come on to say its reset and i have definatly got the plugs in my reciever the right way. all i have done differently is swapped it from my spektrum b4 to a standard AE reciever. could this be it maybe??

well try it , its the only way you can find out .

Have you actually tried pressing the setup button, regardless if a lights coming on?

tried it with the spekky and still nothing, its basically acting as a bit of orange plastic and some purple metal. i have tried pressing the set up button ye, one of the things i did aong time ago. ive re connected, connected every lead, taken the side of and blowed into it, swapped recievers, motors everything. it aint working and im pretty upset lol as i cant afford to fork out for another :yawn:.

anyone want to set me a "new speed control for alex" charity feel free :thumbsup:.

wont be going to batley, cant run anything, and im working.

im going to consult jeff at hlaifax elite rc see what he says. then will probably send it to novak with any luck.
