Cougar SV front Camber Link
What parts will I need to make a straight link and lose that silly angled ball cup?
Just get long threaded balls and some spacer washers, to move the ball further forward, job done
I heard 2mm of washers will do, but have not done it myself yet.
What about a longer turnbuckle to?
you.ll need
2 x u1574 60mm tunrbuckles 1 x u3498 pack of 4 xtra long ball studs and 1 x U2858 pack of 3mm spacer we use the mi4 ball studs and 3mm of spacing on both sides |
Nice one Carl, seen to many of the funky ball cups break.
well i have tried this and it works just fine however now it seems to be the Yoke that takes the hit when you crash.
Any Pic's ?
Does this mod make the car handle better ? or is this mod done for reilbility? |
It won't make it handle better, I am going to do it for reliability reasons only.
i think it does help a little on the handling side.
Maybe less flex in the ball cup, but that would be about it, as the link length would still be the same.
the 2 ball studs will still be in the same postions. It doesnt matter if the link is shaped like a coat hanger, it will still handle exactly the same
i think its more the flex in the long angled ball cup
