There is NO WAY...

This diff is going in place with this belt on..! WTF! Sorry....

Cardnim 15-12-2011 11:28 PM

Err, yes there is.
Not sure what way youve got it set up, but if correct then just...
- put the diff into the belt
- ensure belt is sitting on pulley and diff teeth correctly
- set diff into recess on lower diff housing
- ensure both eccentric bearings are llined up the same.

Et voila; Bob's your uncle, Agnus is your aunt and your diff is in!

wrong belt back in front etc

See Page 9 , step 14B in the SX2 manual if you are still unsure.
Its quite clear there.

If you dont have the manual you can get it here:

Good thinking Carl, that could be it.
Also, once, I had the rear belt going round the spur gear layshaft as well - this made it impossible to get the diff to seat properly.
Maybe something to check?

yeh thats the other one make sure the belt is above the layshaft

10 Points for the man... How many mistakes can I make on this build man!

Im sure I will get there in the end.

Going to have another look at the front diff also as it is a little tight now for some reason. It was fine when it was out...

as long as its not notchy tight is ok infact tight is good

GeordieBoyKel 16-12-2011 01:21 AM

Really?

The rear was the same so I adjusted it, but if you say that tight is good then I will put it back to how it was.

Can I just say, It Looks So Small! :)
