RSX Servo

Im after a RSX response servo does anyone run or know much about these? Is it worth going for the more expensive harder cased one or is that an 8th scale thing?

Cheers

I run the RSX 'power' Alu serovos.

I've ran them all year in my 8th nitro car, direct 7.4v and they have been perfect. in addition to reliability they feel really nice through the range of movement and response.

might not help you for your 10th scale choice but they are a great line of servos

Bought one used for steering on my Vega, even better than the 2413, more precise and seems torquey. Mine is the Response non alu case.

I guess alloy top are not necessary unless you got cash to spend.

My main question about it is to use 6.0v BEC or power it directly by the lipo. I ask and got mixed answer, it's possible to solder the red wire directly to the power lipo but speed will increase and it might be too much for my brain :eh?:

I asked a KO rep on RCtech and he told me while the speed increase is not that much, the torque increase is substantial but himself wired it like a normal servo at 6.0v and told me he got more than enough speed, so much he didn't try at 7.4 (8.4 fully charged).

For me it's one of the best servo available. I would have thoughts about buying one new but definetly worth it.

These things are the dogs danglies. They'll withstand all the abuse you can throw at them and the performance is staggering. I tried them with direct LiPo but felt that the conservation o battery life and calmer specs (yet still incredibly fast/strong) were a better option.

Regarding scale, these are definitely 8th scale servos. We've even had a customer purchase some for a 1/5 model (steering)....
