Losi TEN SCTE short course truck motor/speedo
 

Can anyone help me out with recommending a motor/speedo for the losi s/c truck??
Do i have to go 550 or will a 540 do? is it just the shaft length that is important?
if i do need a 550 has anyone got a combo to swap for a selection of 540's
i have a novac 5.5, a fusion 10.5, a HPI flux 6.5!!

Any help much appreciated as i'm collcting it Friday!!!!

I have been running a 6.5 540 and its got plenty of squirt, but im running the sc10 4x4 which is lighter than the losi, if i were you i would try the novak 5.5 540 first and see what its like, then you can tryout my 550 4.5 novak and then just hang on:o

Also got matching speedo for the novak motor if you want to try that at the weekend

I should be going up the track on saterday as well if your about, we can get the gear in the truck ready for sunday then

i run the novak 4.5 550 in mine and its perfect, 550's are more torque than full on speed so with the weight of the losi it is still controllable enough, i run either a 12 or 14 pinion depending on track and its still accelerating at around 40m straight, make sure you go for a good speedo though, i use a lrp sxx v2 tc spec and it is very well matched, tried an 1/8th scale esc and it was not enough for the big motor and needed a reciever pack to run the steering,

i love my losi even though those bloooming durangos seem quicker its not by much!!! but got the BCE lightened chassis on the way and will be getting the TLR tuning kit!

have a laugh with it i doubt youll break it :thumbsup:
