B4.1 bearings in hubs

Hi,

I'v got a problem with the bearing in my B4.1 hubs.
The bearings turn around in side it. It's no thigth fit..
They just fall out of the hub. What could I do to make is a snug fit?
Does this means I have to buy new hubs?

I have already tried with new bearings but still the same...

Any help or tips would be great!

Thanks

Sounds like worn out hubs. I have had this but it was on a well used car - replaced the hubs and everything is fine again.

How much use have the hubs had?

Rob

If you want them to stop spinning just add some Tamiya AW Grease in there. It's VERY sticky, so it's ideal to slow down everything, for example making a gear diff tighter that can't be filled with oil, like many of Tamiya's older diffs, but it will work for keeping your bearings rotating inside, and not as a whole

If there's actual slop, I'd replace the hubs or put your bearings inside with some silicon sealant. It is of course soft-ish and with impacts it will still move, but this will be relatively gradual and the actual slop the hub added to the construction before will be gone.

my car is 1 year old
the hubs also. actually i dont go to much meetings i race 10 club races and someti.e practice..

where do you get that tamiya sticky stuff?

I'd just replace the hubs...they're not expensive and everything will then work as it should.

Adding grease in there will only attract dirt, and won't really solve the problem!

Not expensive?!
They're 28 euros on ebay..

As a temporary fix run a strip of insulation tape around the bearings.

Just loctite/threadlock the outer race and hub...Engineers have been using it for that purpose since it was invented..Loctite list this as one of the main uses.....I had a main bearing sieze in a 300 ktm and spin in the casing..I used loctite on the outer race and then did the whole brittish round series without a prob:D

i used withe tape, the stuff that plumbers do on the thread of a tube :)
