Designed for the popular mid motor layout the final tweaks on the '1 piece' body mold have been finished, and NOW AVAILABLE

Looks good. Can i put my name down for 1?

AmiSMB 09-12-2011 10:36 PM

I like that and it would not crack where mine is at the moment. Stupid question but is it see through and paintable from the inside? I ask this as in the picture it seems very white! Is this just the protective covering that has been used on the polycarbonate/lexan? Also where and how much will it be available on Tuesday?

Aran 09-12-2011 11:00 PM

think that the images are either the mould of the shell or a cad image

HarlowS 10-12-2011 10:12 AM

I made the pictured body out of white polycarbonate as it shows the body lines better than clear lexan would. The bodyshells will be supplied in clear lexan.

Price is expected to be about £13 (waiting on final lexan invoice). Details on how to buy will be updated shortly. :)

Good job, although I must admit quite liked the 'fin' on the original - albeit a pain in the arse to paint! Maybe a scoop a la 410 V3 could be in order?

Would this come with overspray film on the outside?

HarlowS 10-12-2011 11:11 PM

Yep, clear overfilm is on the lexan ,

Just had a batch finished so they are available NOW !

what do you get in the package? wing cows body?

HarlowS 11-12-2011 10:25 AM

Not sure why you want a cow ? but no, you dont get any

Its a 1 piece shell designed for mid motor layout, so no 'cowls' required. I do have some wings available too but what you see in the picture is what you get if you just buy the bodyshell.

Will this body work with the rear motor set-up?? It looks like it will, I in the USA, so no mid-motor for me.

HarlowS 12-12-2011 08:03 PM

It may well do but i have'nt tried on a rear motored it yet to be honest.

It should work, I think all he did was use the Mid motor cowls in the rear which are just taller than the standard cowl

5im0n 15-12-2011 04:44 PM
