TRF 501 Springs

I have 3 sets of tamiya springs, all of them are white, first I thought all of them are the same stifness, but on closer inspection I found that each of them are marked at the top with a little dab of paint, red, yellow and blue?
Ok, so looking closer once again, i found that the red has coils that are closer than the yellow and blue marked springs. It seems yellow has fewer coils and bue the least. I can't feel a stifness difference between the 3 and would like to know if these are indeed stifness different..?

Yes they are different.

In order from softest to hardest = red-yellow-blue (same as their touring car springs)

To be honest I don't think they're much good at all. Only the blues seem stiff enough to me - I personally run the black DF03 springs on my car most of the time, and those springs are now included with the Durga.

I have been running Associated silver front and green rear in my 501 WE. I just bought the Tamiya "set" (soft, med, hard). I understand red=hard, yellow=med, and blue=soft but how do they compare to Associated springs? Associated and Losi put on spring charts that show lb/inch ratings--does anyone know the Tamiya spring rates?

Also, people say that the Tamiya springs rub but my Associated greens rub in the rear. I always have problems with rear associated springs rubbing.

Associated silver front is the same as Tamiya yellow
Associated green rear is the same as Tamiya yellow

does that mean, the front tamiya yello is 3.8lbs and the rear yellow is 1.9lbs?
what oil and piston would you use with it?

On most track, we use usually 1.3mm piston in front and 1.4mm in rear !
on carpet use 2mm inner spacer in front and rear !
About oil, work with 30 and 35W (losi), on carpet 40 or 45W (losi) with AE blue spring in front and blue AE in rear with 1.5 cutting coil !

Any chance of a Setup Sheet for low traction outdoor sandy track?

I have the worlds edition so the included white springs
Seem to work fine, no special springs needed, the car lands just
the same way my B44 lands....doesnt bounce outa shape or anything.:D
