Jumps

How do people feel about some slightly bigger smooth jumps for the club I am sure me and a few others could make some I think Wayne is also up for this just a thought to put to Peter and Eric maybe? Mark

adamjimny 01-12-2011 07:37 AM

Definetly its a yes from me but check with pete about storage space

johnnygibbon 01-12-2011 08:11 AM

I may be able to help
I am building a massivesk8 park and little jumps are easy
Can get computer designs probly

tisher 01-12-2011 03:09 PM

people need to learn how to jump the small ones first plus they are safer for the kids

singin pete 01-12-2011 04:13 PM

Mark are you thinking about the two small jumps like they have at Roundabout on the ramp?

Peter

Rigaxe 01-12-2011 08:12 PM

I have not seen the ones at roundabout but somebody told me they are massive and harsh on cars pete I was just thinking some medium sized ones not really humpbacked just nice smooth ones for a little air action lol just different is all I was thinking ??

adamjimny 01-12-2011 08:15 PM

small isnt how i would describe roundabouts hahaha

its the jump in the middle that gets most at ribble due to the hump and can be tricky but smoother jumps would help in my opinion but may be possible to put it to a vote and see what the members think

singin pete 01-12-2011 08:21 PM

Roundabout have two jumps the same size (almost) as the black one at Ribble, but are smooth.

I'm sure if you look on the Roundabout thread you can see them.

I agree with that the middle jump can be un predictable but roundabouts jumps are big but you are getting 4to5 foot airs of them and massive airs of the table top maybe a smaller version would be good

bigred5765 01-12-2011 08:48 PM

just because the jumps are large doesnt mean you have to ramp them, you can drive over them you know.

Rigaxe 01-12-2011 09:18 PM

I am not compairing our club to roundabout I think are club is brilliant just maybe some new jumPs is all for next season spice it uP a bit lol I think ramp style jumps would be better for the younger ones easier to handle ?? What do you think Pete it's all fun either way !!

singin pete 01-12-2011 09:37 PM

I do like the small ramps at Roundabout, but if we had them we would have to place them very carefully because you can get big air with them.

I need to speak to Eric about storage on Friday

Peter

i agree completely but maybe some half the size ie less risk but a little but jump action

Rigaxe 02-12-2011 01:38 PM

Andy and Wez talked about what jumps would work at Ribble last night and they came up with a design that will hopefully suit us.

Wez will be making one in the next few weeks so we can try it out.
