Pretty sure telemetry is banned under general rules in Brca

I'd heard it was banned too. Why is this, it's not as if you can affect your results when everything is lapped with your transponder and the clubs software / counter. I don't see it giving anyone an advantage, just cool info to have for yourself.

because the BRCA Members vote the rule in.....

Not a lot I can say to that. It doesn't make sense to me that something is banned that gives you no advantage.

Oh well, thanks for the reply.

As I understand it the rule covers many angles, but just one example is 1/8th pit crews being able to monitor fuel usage and remaining level in the tank. Thus being able to calculate fuel stops more effectively. I realise the Spektrum unit might not be able to do this, but the rule is written to cover all technologies current and future.

On the flip side, a positive use could be to monitor receiver pack levels to make sure the driver doesn't lose control because of interference or low voltage.

There's up and downs to any rule, but I suppose it at least a level playing field for all.
